How do I Qualify For PRF Insurance?

Qualifying for PRF insurance is simple! You can qualify for a policy if you own, or can provide proof that you are a lessee of, a minimum of 60* contiguous acres used for livestock grazing**. Alternatively, you can qualify if you own or lease a minimum of 60 contiguous acres that are either currently used for hay production or have the potential to be hayable ground.

* Some counties have different minimum acreage requirements. Speak with your agent about the qualification requirements in your area.

** Note: You must have proof of ownership of the livestock in order to qualify; this program is intended for producers, not just landowners.
