I want my customers to be life-long friends.
Steve Redd, owner of Redd Summit, has used the program for years to benefit his ranch’s bottom line and risk management goals. With a ranch on big country in the dry west he understands perhaps better than anyone how PRF insurance can be used to benefit ranchers.
“I’ve been through the dry years and wet years; I deal with the BLM, Forest Service and other agencies. I get how challenging it is to manage risk on a cattle operation. . . it can be a very fine line, and I’ve come in south of the profitability line many years. I love showing my neighbors how good this can be for them. I cannot, and absolutely will not, help anyone sign up for a policy that I personally wouldn’t sign up for. I need it to be heavily stacked in the ranchers favor or I will not do it! I want my customers to be life-long friends.”

Steven M. Redd was raised as a fifth-generation rancher on his family’s operation in La Sal, Utah. It was there that he learned the value of hard work and got to know the big-hearted people who drive the ag-industry forward. At first the PRF insurance program looked “too good to be true” but after using it for years on his family’s operation, Steven learned that the program adds value and helps better control the risks associated with drought. It is Steven’s mission to share the benefits of the PRF insurance program with other ranchers in the community.
Brooke White is a fifth-generation Arizona rancher. Her experience in ranching started in Arizona and has included New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Brooke knows just how difficult and volatile ranching in the dry western states can be. For this reason, she reluctantly listened to a presentation on the Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage insurance program. After giving the program a shot, Brooke feels that PRF insurance has made a huge difference in her family’s operation. This program is a blessing that she would like to share with other ranching families.
Charles Redd is a fourth-generation rancher, raised in La Sal, Utah. He’s been in the ranching business for most of his life, raising cattle in Utah, Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska. Charles has experienced the ups and downs that come with ranching in the dry western states; the PRF insurance program has helped Charles personally by replacing income that has been lost through dry spells. After utilizing this program throughout his own acreage, Charles wants to share it with others who experience the same struggles he has.
Aaron Orr was raised on a third-generation beef cow, row crop, and dairy farm. At the age of 16 he got a loan from the bank to purchase 20 cow calf pairs on his own. From that young age, he began to see the financial problems drought can create for a ranch. Aaron has seen first-hand where a PRF policy makes the difference between buying hay or selling cows. When Aaron saw the benefits this program can bring to others, it was an easy choice to start trying to help ranchers determine if it’s the right fit for their operation too.
Shaun Evans was raised as a fourth-generation rancher on his Dad and Grandad’s ranch in Lakeshore, Utah. Shaun learned early on how to work hard and get his hands dirty. Whether it was hauling hay, digging ditch, or branding calves, Shaun kept everyone in good spirits with his laughing and joke telling. After learning about the benefits of PRF Insurance and watching Redd Summit Advisors help hundreds of other ranchers, Shaun decided to insure his own family’s ranch and made it a goal to get out there and share the same opportunity with other ranchers across the country.
Raised on a ranch in La Sal, Utah, Travis Redd worked alongside his dad and mom working sheep, cattle, raising hay and a little hell. He loved farming and learned how to work hard contributing to the family business.
In college, Travis pursued his love of aviation and is currently a pilot for SkyWest Airlines. He enjoys taking his family back to the ranch and wants to instill in his children the values of hard work and helping out. Farmers and Ranchers across America are at times affected by drought, pests, market declines and political policies that can be challenging. Travis sees an opportunity to help other ranch families and his own stay connected to their roots by sharing the benefits of PRF rangeland insurance.
Austin Hart grew up ranching on his family’s large cattle operations. His diverse experience spans ranches in Arizona, Kansas, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie with an Ag Business degree. Throughout his college years he worked managing a ranch and as a part time brand inspector for the state of Wyoming. Austin understands firsthand the struggles that ranchers face and was taught at a young age to be proactive.
The ability to be proactive helps alleviate pressure in time sensitive situations. PRF insurance allows one to be proactive and to be prepared ahead of time. Working on ranches has given Austin a unique perspective when it comes to business decisions, and he wants to help other ranchers by showing them the benefits PRF insurance can provide.
