Major storms going to pound parts of the Western US, during the next couple weeks. This is especially true west of the Continental Divide... The first map shows total liquid precipitation potential (melted snow and rain) and the second map shows total snow potential. Again, the pattern does not favor areas immediately east of the mountains...which is easily seen in the maps.
